Network Marketing alias Relationship Marketing is not about making a fortune as many business presentations show you the unlimited seamless potential earnings. Of course, that could happen but from my observation, only a small percentage of entrepreneurs achieved it.
This business is much more about you joining the organisation to be coached on achieving a TEAM LEADER position which means you have motivated members in your business to work with. By focusing on the duplication process, this will enable you to coach your team members to achieve their TEAM LEADER positions too in your business organisation. This in turn generates income for your business based on leveraging your work with your teams to consume and move products to as many people as possible via the Internet and or face to face contacts.
That is why most of the networking trainings are focused on the “WINS” Formula to build a winning (active) team.
The “WINS” stands for:
“W” – Know your “WHY” for doing the business. Be passionate about your “WHY”, and always keep it in mind.
“I” – “INITIATE” meaningful and productive actions to help you reach your plans and goals. Only you can make it happen for yourself.
“N” – “NETWORK” with others – prospects, other USANA Distributors, other network marketers. Share information and ideas. You’ll be amazed at what will flow back to you.
“S” – Be a “STUDENT” of the network marketing business. Read, watch, learn and absorb everything you can. Share your knowledge with others to help them succeed and to insure your own success.

Unlike nearly every other business on the planet, there are effectively no joining restrictions. We do not prejudge, interview or ‘qualify’ potential people joining our team.
The financial entry cost is so low [i.e. less than $1000] that the ONLY motivation for the new entrant to take action is the desire to products results. There is no ‘negative’ motivation like the potential loss of a $100,000 investment.
Our claim is that ‘everyone can do this’.
They joined so they obviously wanted to ‘do this’.
So why do some people claim that ‘one third of new people do zero, one third do so little and one third is where the money is earn’? It does not make sense.
The reason people take action is because they believe that the investment of time, effort, money AND REPUTATION is worth the reward. They will evaluate the chance of success versus the cost/risk of failure.
They will ‘invest to ACHIEVE’ when they can understand [CONCEIVE] what is the investment/reward and BELIEVE they can [and are willing to] do what is required.
So many leaders think this is about believing you can make a fortune…its not!
This is about 98% of people discovering exactly what is required [actually the work] to achieve a TEAM leader position; their belief that they can do the work and want to do the work.
Most organisations do not explain what is required in enough detail to be understood or believed and thus most of the people joining never take enough action to succeed [if any.]
If you DO NOT satisfy this quote for new people less that 10% will take enough action which actually means your business does not work or growth produced will not last.
