The Roadblock!
Writing an article or can be a real roadblock to a lot of people. They hear that writing articles is very essential for getting noticed, getting traffic, developing a reputation and branding yourself. In essence it is part of building your presence on the Internet. Which also leads to the bottom line in whatever business you are in. We do this as part of the process toward developing some financial freedom.

Too many of us put off the idea of writing an article because we don’t think we really have anything to offer that hasn’t already been put out there by someone else. After all, everything you have learned already has come from some other source already available to the masses, rite.

Well, maybe the way you view articles needs to take a shift in another direction.

A Different Point of View.
I don’t write articles as a way to attract other people to read my words of wisdom. I write articles as a way to communicate back to myself. Writing an article is just another way I have to re-enforce in my mind the goals I have place before me and to keep me moving and motivated in the rite direction. I use it as a feed back that lets me self examine how I feel, how I think, what I learned from a given experience and how to focus on the next step I need to take toward my destination. This process also lets me know what influences are around me and how those influences affect what I’m doing. I can decide weather or not that influence is a good one or one that needs the boot. I won’t tolerate anything that has a negative impact in how I think or act.

Where Do I Start?
So, how do you get started? Well, start with something you’ve done recently. Maybe you attended a seminar, webinar, listened to a conference call or a new How To audio. Sit down and write about it. Who was the speaker? How did they come across to you? Did he or she make an impact on the way you think or feel? What was the subject matter? Did they impress you as an expert on the topic? What did you learn, what value did this experience bring to you? By the time your done writing the answers to these questions and more, guess what. You’ll have written a complete review of the experience. This is an article that can be published online. If it happens to be on a topic that gives someone else recognition then I’m sure they’ll appreciate the kind words. What’s most important is the fact that writing about the experience has ingrained the value it brought into your mind for a long time to come.

Take Your Time.
You don’t have to be a grammar wizard to put on paper what you think. You don’t even have to do it in one sitting; you can work on it for as long as you need to. If the words stop coming then walk away, go do something else for a while. Your subconscious mind will actually keep working on it so when your ready to return the words will be there and you will pick up where you left off or even go back and improve on some part because better words came to you while you took a break. The real trick is the more you do it the easier it gets.

No Fear!
Never be concerned about weather or not someone will find your article interesting. You didn’t write it for them anyway, you wrote it for yourself as a means of self-motivation and promotion. If you like what you wrote, it makes you feel good about the experience you wrote about and has helped you to ingrain a valuable lesson into your mind, then you have accomplished what you have set out to do. No one else’s opinion can take that away from you.

Keep it Positive.
Whenever I sit down to write anything I always take the positive approach. Look at it from the gain side and leave the down side in the trash where it belongs. You always want to write about something that makes you feel good emotionally. If it really gets you excited and pumped up the better. You want to ingrain only positive experiences and emotions into your mind. Putting things in writing re-enforces the thought and the emotion associated with it. So, always be conscious of what you write because you’re putting it rite back into your head. Ask yourself if you really want that rattling around in there. If it’s negative, get rid of it.

Be Consistent.
I try to write about at least one experience a week. This keeps the imagination active and flowing. It makes for a good creative thought process that will bring you great ideas and attract the right kind of people to you. It also gives you a chance to go back and read about the experience over and over again keeping the emotions and value from the experience energized and alive. Just writing this article from my perspective gives me the inspiration to continue writing more and more articles and blogs. Even now as I write this article I have ideas for my next article or blog flooding through my mind. It can be a real rush once you get going.

The Personal Touch.
When you write about something that you’ve had personal experience with and write it in a way that is supposed to create a personal positive response within yourself, it becomes more of a shared experience when others read it. You will find that more people will relate to you in a very positive way and share with you in the very same way. These are the kind of people you want in your sphere of influence. Positive people always find ways to lift up others and create an even stronger positive atmosphere. The benefits from this are tremendous.

I recently listened to an audio training by Joe Vitale (also known as Mr. Fire). In it, he explained how he was reluctant about setting up a blog because he thought they were somewhat self-indulgent and boring. Once he started one he soon realized the value in it. It gives people a chance to know you better. They become more attracted to you through the value they find your writing. People relate to other people on an emotional level. When you write with the intent of creating a positive emotional response in yourself, others will feel the same. The better they know you the more likely they will become a customer or associate. The benefits are well worth the effort.

Picture This.
Another way you can put strong positive emotion in your article is to take pictures of the event or even a video whenever it’s possible. Include them in your article. It helps keep a vision of the event fresh and vibrant in your mind and it’s more personal for readers.

Persistence Will Pay Off.
Look, even if you aren’t totally happy with what you write at first, don’t worry about it. Keep going it’s all part of your personal growth. As you work at it you will get better and after a while what you write will really begin to feel like your creating a great piece of art. You will really begin to enjoy the process and others will cheer you on because they love to see you grow and succeed. Positive people always lift up other Positive People. They will share with you and expand your thoughts and ideas because that is what you’ve done for them as well.

You did it for you.
If you should ever get someone that makes comment about your article in a not so good manner, just remember, you didn’t write it for him or her anyway. You wrote for yourself. You should also remember never ever let anyone’s negative opinion influence you in any way shape or form. Just keep up the good work your doing within yourself and success is yours.

I enjoyed the article. Hope you did too.
