I wanted to share something with you that I found very enlightening, because it helps illustrate the urgency and importance of the message that we bring to the world through Usana. This is not to say that all medication is a bad thing; but very much of it is, especially that which is being pushed in the failed ‘effort’ to ‘treat’ degenerative diseases, such as heart disease and arthritis, with medications. The problem is not just in the harm that the medications do to our bodies; but it is in promoting, by being a user of such products, the underlying effort that goes on in the research and development through which the medications are produced.
Another problem with medication is that, since it alleviates symptoms, it promotes complacency and keeps people from seeking an actual solution to their health problems; and, therefore, the health problems almost inevitably worsen, and people slowly move into more and more health challenges; as in the ‘boiled frog’ story we read recently on this forum.
It is being predicted that we are within a few decades of the end of the pharmaceutical approach, as we now know it, to treating degenerative diseases; because it does not work, and is illogical, like trying to ‘fix’ a mechanical problem in your car engine by cutting the line to the warning light, so that the light is no longer illuminating.
The pharmaceutical industry may be seeing the writing on the wall, as the wellness industry, the fastest growing industry in the history of the world, moves more and more mainstream. Perhaps this turning of the tide is why we see more and more ads on TV, in the desperate effort of the pharmaceutical industry to grow, or at least try to hang on to, its cash cow, er, that is, its customer base; those who are so medication-oriented from decades of indoctrination that they are afraid to take a vitamin without a doctor’s approval; and then, will only take one recommended by the doctor, oblivious to its actual quality, and oblivious to the fact that their doctor is not trained in nutritional supplementation.
What will replace the pharmaceutical industry, as it goes the way of the dinosaur? Cellular nutrition, returning the cells’ ability to function normally; hence, no ‘disease’ to treat. We in Usana are on the cutting edge of that movement, years ahead of the rest of the industry in science, and we are already experiencing its benefits, as a part of the healthiest family on earth, as Dr. Wentz has said.
That is one of the reasons why growing your Usana business, and helping more people become involved not just as customers, but as associates who are directly or indirectly getting these products to others, is significant to mankind, far beyond the direct benefits of the business and the products to us individually. Associates who become involved strictly or mainly for the financial opportunity are extremely important, because of the high rate of growth they will seek in their business, the end result being that more and more Usana products get to end users.
Nothing else that you can do with your life can serve more value to the world than building a Usana business.
