What does Obama and Marketers Actually Sell

Firstly HOPE, follow by trainings and strategic actions.  Why? The reason is quite simple:

1. People want more …… and may not be in the position to have that now.

2. We run out of our needs 

3. We wish to replenish them, and

4. We want better lifestyle.

So hope is the magical thing that makes everything else work better, the future looks brighter, every relationship feels better and the project work better.

You can never have control over your destiny, until you’re willing to take personal responsibility of your every part of your life. Hope cures cynicism.

Only when you decide to take control of your financial futures, invest in yourself, and take ACTION, then you can see what’s possible. Hope increases productivity.

You are capable to learn new things and apply what you have learnt more than what you thought. Hope needs no justification.

What Obama Means to Us

Well the USA has a new President and that country has yet again amazed us with their scenes of celebration and pantomime. Would you believe that they have spent US$200mil on the inauguration!  

I feel for Obama as the expectations of his people so vastly exceed what he can deliver. The economic crisis is actually a godsend for him as it creates the environment for change which we all know must come first in the head and heart before it will ever be followed through in action.  

I could write pages on this Obama situation yet what is important is what it means for Network Marketing globally. Which is frankly very little.  

What Obama brings us is the reminder that HOPE is the most powerful word in marketing. In fact, as I have said before, HOPE is what every networker is selling. Hope that a product will deliver. Hope that your opportunity will deliver. Hope that they will change their lives through assocation with you.  

ALSO we must be mindful that Obama may end up a one-term president and a massive disappointment BECAUSE of the expectations he and his team have allowed to circulate around him. I have watched people try and quash these expectations yet HE created them in his campaigning so HE must not be surprised if they are still there.

It is these excessive expectations that I still see in the promotions of some networkers. We must deliver hope of success. We must accurately promote not just the small income opportunity, they should hear the big one as well. YET we must be clearer on the chances of achievement and what is required. What is the point of recruiting ten people if just a couple are working in 90 days?

These troubled times are great for our industry. Grab the opportunity with both hands. Be a beacon of hope in your community YET ensure you are clear about expectations FROM THE START.

This is a marathon not a sprint.
